We invite you to join the #FaithfulCensus Week of Action from June 1-5! This week is an opportunity for the faith community and partners to come together and encourage all people to be counted in the 2020 Census. When you sign up, you’ll receive our toolkit which contains social media content, including different focuses for each day of the week, a calendar of events, how partners can get involved, and links to more resources on the 2020 Census.
5 ways to partner on #FaithfulCensus Week of Action:
- Post on social media throughout the week. See general faith sample posts and unique focus day social content below. Feel free to also use your own content and graphics with the #FaithfulCensus hashtag!
- Host a “Ask Me Anything Census” event on your organization’s Instagram account on June 1
- Promote the June 2 Virtual Town Hall, Democracy 2020: Black Faith Leads the Way
- Join the #FaithCounts Twitter Chat on Thursday, June 3 at 1pm ET
- Host a #FaithfulCensus Digital Event and share it with Faith in Public Life!
As trusted messengers, faith leaders have a unique ability to encourage census participation. Faith leaders can powerfully communicate the message that responding to the 2020 Census is an act of faith that shows your love for your neighbor because an accurate count ensures access to quality schools, hospitals, roads and services that make a difference in people’s lives. Ensuring that everyone is counted affirms every person’s God-given dignity.
